Haji Muhammad Sharif Naqshbandi: A Life of Service and Achievement

Haji Muhammad Sharif Naqshbandi was born in January 1963 in Barota Dhoke Dera, a small village in Kallar Syedan, District Rawalpindi. He came from a farming family and was the youngest of five siblings. He started his education in a simple primary school in Dhan Gali, where students sat on mats.

Haji Muhammad Sharif memorised the Holy Quran and later earned a master’s degree in Islamic Studies. From a young age, he stood out for his passion for learning, humility, and strong moral values, which were shaped by his parents and teachers.

A Dream for Better Education

Haji Muhammad Sharif faced many challenges during his studies, but he was determined to bring quality education to his region. His goal was to make learning accessible for children who couldn’t afford it or travel far from home.

To achieve this, he started working to improve education in remote areas like Sir Sobha Shah, Pandora, and Kallar Syedan.

Building Educational Institutions

Haji Muhammad Sharif has established over 40 schools and educational centres, giving thousands of boys and girls the opportunity to learn. He also began building Pandora University, a prestigious project now nearing completion.

Students from these institutions have gone on to earn master’s and PhD degrees, excelling in various fields. Today, more than 1,600 boys and girls are receiving free education under his leadership. These students are also provided with free lodging, meals, uniforms, and healthcare, thanks to generous donors.

Expanding Globally

To extend his mission beyond Pakistan, Haji Muhammad Sharif registered the Al-Sharif Children’s Education and Welfare Trust in the UK. This charity allows donors to contribute legally and transparently, supporting both education and other welfare projects.

Darul Uloom Mohi-ul-Islam Siddiqia for Girls

Haji Muhammad Sharif also established Darul Uloom Mohi-ul-Islam Siddiqia for Girls, located 300 metres from the main Pandora campus on Kashmir Highway. This school provides both religious and modern education, offering courses up to MA and MPhil levels.

Vision for the Future

Haji Muhammad Sharif’s ultimate dream is to complete Pandora University, which will focus on higher education for underprivileged, orphaned, and remote-area children. The university aims to offer bachelor’s, MPhil, and PhD programs across various fields.

Once operational, this institution is expected to attract students from near and far, helping them achieve their dreams. Haji Muhammad Sharif believes that education is the key to building a better society and a stronger nation, and he has devoted his life to this noble cause.
